Eligibility — Quick Summary

- Nationality: Indian citizen or specified categories (Nepal/Bhutan/Tibetan refugee/person of Indian origin).
- Age: 21–30 years (relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ph.D./ex-servicemen as per notification).
- Education:
- General: Graduation with 60% (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or Post-graduation with 55% (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD).
- DEPR: Master’s in Economics/Finance (or related) with at least 55% (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). Doctorate desirable.
- DSIM: Master’s in Statistics/Mathematics/Data Science/AI/ML/Big Data (55%) OR 4-year Bachelor’s with 60% in related fields.
Selection Process
Stage 1: Phase I online exam → Stage 2: Phase II online/written exam → Stage 3: Interview. Detailed syllabus and paper-wise scheme are available in the official notification.
Application Fees
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹850 + 18% GST
- SC/ST/PwBD: ₹100 + 18% GST (intimation charges)
- RBI Staff (if eligible): Nil
Pay & Perks
Starting basic pay: ₹78,450 / month. The approximate initial gross emoluments (excluding HRA) are ₹1,50,374/month. Additional allowances, medical benefits, loan facilities, leave fare concession, and coverage under the New Pension Scheme (NPS) apply.

Exam Centres
Phase I and Phase II will be conducted across multiple cities nationwide. Candidates may choose four preferences for centre allocation. The Board reserves the right to change centres.
